In 2009, Duval College marks 50 years. So that we can capture some of your reminiscences of college life for an online history of the College, we encourage you to talk about your memories. (While it's possible to give one word answers, it will be more informative if you tell your story!)
Students in the "second Women's College" were originally located in the northern part of the campus in the huts. When the College was built in the residential part of the campus, it comprised twelve staircases, originally called:
Carraman the shade of the trees
Wyanda hut
Kulawin big native bear
Araluen place of waterlillies
Patanga place of gum trees
Mirrabooka southern cross
Orana welcome
Bookoola an owl
Carinya a happy home
Amaroo a beautiful place
Tathra place of wild cats
Jarrabrin shelter for a large family
Once information has been collected, we will collate it under some broad headings for posting on the web. Please feel free to comment on some or all of the questions and let us know if you are happy for the comments to be attributed to you.
If you have photos or other memorabilia that would add to your reminiscences, please forward electronic copies to alumni@une.edu.au or post to:
Duval College History
Alumni Relations Officer
Office of Advancement
TC Lamble Building

If you are sending photos, please include names, approximate time the photo was taken and a brief description of the occasion. If you are sending memorabilia, some information about the time that it relates to, and a brief description, would also be useful.
